15.03.2013  Maria Gusar’s solo exhibition “Free Space” opened at NovSU

On 13 March, the first solo exhibition “Free Space” by NovSU student Maria Gusar was opened. “Free Space” means a space for creativity and not for a bad mood.

Maria Gusar graduated from the Art School and Graphic College in Rybinsk, the Yaroslavl region. Now she is a 5th-year student at Novgorod State University,  her specialty  is “Graphic Design” (Department of Art and Plastic Materials Processing at the NovSU Polytechnic Institute). Since recently she is a member of “On the Red” art studio.

Her favorite styles are avant-garde and experimental drawing, watercolor drawing, illustration, branding, computer design, etc.

At the present, many creative works by Maria Gusar are in private collections and galleries in Russia and abroad, some of them have been published as postcards and book illustrations in St. Petersburg.

The exhibition features more than 60 art and graphic works from different periods of her life; it is a kind of her biography in pictures.
