Филологическая концепция романа Карлоса Руиса Сафона «Тень ветра»: материалы к практическому занятию по современной зарубежной литературе

Цель статьи связана с представлением филологической концепции современного постмодернистского романа «Тень ветра» испанского писателя К.Р.Сафона. На примере произведения через основную его тему и проблемное поле выявляются пути решения поднятых автором вопросов, связанных с размышлениями о судьбе книг в современном мире, о значении процесса чтения в формировании отдельной личности. Основным предметом исследования стала структура сюжета романа, концептуальный конструкт / метафора Кладбища забытых книг, а также образ главного героя. Анализ позволил выявить синтезированную жанровую структуру произведения К.Р.Сафона, основанную на элементах детектива и готического (точнее, неоготического) романа, призванных служить глубокой разработке филологической проблематики текста. В заключении статьи были сделаны выводы о том, что роман К.Р.Сафона представляет собой новую жанровую модификацию филологического романа — роман-лабиринт, охватывающий сплетение и взаимовлияние событий, смыслов, идей вымышленного романа «Тень ветра», судеб его автора Хулиана Каракса и читателя (любителя книг и потомственного букиниста) Даниеля Семперо, а также событий литературной жизни Испании в аспекте рождения и «успения» произведений.

Philological conception of the novel The Shadow Of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón: teaching materials for classes on modern foreign literature

The aim of the article is to introduce the philological conception of the modern postmodernist novel The Shadow of the Wind by Spanish writer C.R.Zafon. Setting the problem. The ways of solving some problems marked by the author of the novel are revealed in the article having been investigated through the main idea and the problematic field of the novel. The questions are linked with the reflections about the destiny of the books in the modern world as well as the importance of the reading process while forming the individual personality. The main subject of the research are the plot structure of the novel, conceptual metaphor The Cemetery of the forgotten books as well as the image of the main character. Conclusions. The analysis has allowed us to identify the structure of the C.R.Zafon’s work, considering it as the synthesis of genres. The structure of the novel is based on elements of detective and gothic (precisely neogothic) novel. These elements are aimed to serve the deep investigation of the philological problem of the text. The observations have showed that C.R.Zafon’s novel is the new genre modification of the philological novel — a novel-labyrinth. Such type of novel covers the interweaving and mutual influence of the events, meanings and ideas of the fiction novel The Shadow of the Wind. It is also the interweaving of the destinies of its author Julián Carax and the reader (the book-lover and hereditary bookseller) Daniel Sempere. The novel covers the events of the Italian literary life from the point of view the birth and passing into oblivion works of fiction.
