The meeting was attended by alumni of the Erasmus + program who studied at higher educational institutions of Germany (Dresden University of Technology and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences) and Poland (Lodz University of Technology), as well as students interested in studying abroad under this program.

During the online meeting, the speakers shared their insights about life, study and work abroad, the difficulties they faced, and the benefits of participating in the program. Audience, in turn, had an opportunity to ask them questions.

“Such meetings are an excellent motivation for students to participate in academic mobility programs. They help to dispel myths about studying abroad and inspire prospective participants with confidence,” – said Irina Ushanova, head of the Office for International Educational Programs and Academic Mobility.

Erasmus+ is the EU's program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.  Set to last until 2020, Erasmus+ doesn't just have opportunities for students. Merging seven prior programs, it has opportunities for a wide variety of individuals and organizations. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the program has been extended until 2021.
