16.10.2018  NovSU students majoring in Cultural Studies and the Film Museum discussed cooperation scenarios

Last Friday, on October 12, 4th year cultural studies students visited the Valery Rubtsov’s Film Museum, the first private museum in Russia dedicated to cinema. Future specialists in the field of cultural management familiarized with the collection of rare technical devices with the help of which films were created.

Many famous people have already visited the museum and noted the necessity to preserve material evidence and documents on the history of cinema. This idea interested cultural studies students, and Valery Rubtsov suggested reflecting on possible scenarios for cooperation between the NovSU Department of Philosophy and Culturology and the Film Museum. Students paid attention to the fact that nowadays cinema is one of the most diverse and dynamic forms of contemporary art, and it requires a special type of management.

The head of the department, Professor Sergey Malenko, offered to think about joint social and cultural projects for different categories of visitors of the museum.

At the end of the visit the students took part in the filming of the story about the Novgorod Film Museum for the TV-program “The Big Wall”.
