08.12.2012  Representatives of NovSU took part in the U.S.-Russia Agribusiness Trade Mission

On December 6, 2012, Lidia Semkiv, the Associate Professor of Department of Animal Industry at NovSU Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Natalia Ilyashenko, the Head Information and Analysis Section at NovSU Office of International Affairs took part in the U.S.-Russia Agribusiness Trade Mission held by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow on December 3-7, 2012, in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

 

Working Moment


The purpose of the Trade Mission was to optimize the interaction of Russian and American businesses for mutual cooperation in the field of agriculture, food and agricultural technologies.
The event was attended by more than 20 US companies - suppliers of fruit and vegetables, dried fruits and nuts, hardware, agricultural and food technologies, food ingredients and other food products.

The Trade Mission participants had the opportunity to conduct individual workshops to explore and establish business relations between American and Russian companies. Within the framework of the Mission NovSU representatives had one-on-one meeting with Prof. Anson Elliot, the Director of the William H. Darr School of Agriculture, Missouri State University, and discussed possible ways of cooperation between two schools.
