07.05.2019  One NovSU and eight secondary school students are among the winners of the «Cadres of the Future for the Regions» initiative

Eight secondary school students from Novgorod region and the NovSU student Alesya Belova, who is their project tutor, will be rewarded with trips to an international children's camp «Artek» for winning the competition. There on August 7-28, the «Artek Robinsonade» project session will take place. – The Ministry of Education of the Novgorod region said.

More than 320 secondary school students from 37 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the competition.  Over 190 team and individual projects were submitted. They address issues in the field of environment, social engagement of people with disabilities, development of tourism in regions, creative development of young people, development of new technological solutions, and so on.

According to Svetlana Chupsheva, the Director General of the Agency for Srategic Initiatives, the “Cadres of the Future for the Regions” initiative has been implemented for one year and has already delivered benefits. The number of young people who want to leave their native cities and Russian regions has decreased.

«At the initial stage of the initiative, the survey revealed that about 70 percent of the participants were ready to leave their regions without planning to return.  Nowadays, the situation has changed.  Young people understand that in their native cities there are interesting areas of activity where they can fulfill their potential and be in demand in the future», Svetlana Chupsheva noted.

In Artek, school students’ projects will be accelerated. After that the students together with experts will finalize them for subsequent implementation in the regions.  School students will be involved in interactive events and business games on entrepreneurship and social networking.
