Vitaly Elizarov, Mikhail Sergeev and Anna Ovchinnikova , the fourth-year  students of the  NovSU Medical Education Institute, along with their research advisor Natalia Revina, the associate professor of Physiology, took part in the 8th International Medical Students Conference in Leiden, Netherlands. Overall, more than 600 students and young, aspiring scientists from 40 countries of the world (UK, USA, Philippines, India, Iran, Indonesia, Japan, China, France, Germany, etс.) participated at the conference. The students from Novgorod presented their cardiology research in English.

The selection of contributors was quite strict: only 9 reports in the cardiology section were chosen, and the work of our students was among them. Many participants were only able to present poster reports. The agenda included lectures by professors from England, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands, the best specialists in various fields of medicine.

This is one of the most famous and prestigious student conferences in Europe that received world acknowledgement, and allows the talented students to share the results of their research with colleagues from different countries, as well as to listen to the lectures of world-renowned scientists and attend useful master classes.
