The Fifth Russian-Finnish Symposium on Discrete Mathematics (RuFiDiM 2019) will be organized in Veliky Novgorod on May 19-22, 2019. This is a continuation of earlier meetings which have taken place in


Yuri Matiyasevich (Steklov Mathematical Institute at St.Petersburg),

Juhani Karhumäki (University of Turku).

RuFiDiM V will be held in the Novgorod State University buildings in the urban area of Antonovo, near the hotel Park Inn by Radisson Veliky Novgorod (see Useful Info)  .

Topics of the symposium include:

  • Combinatorics on Words,
  • Graph Theory,
  • Automata Theory,
  • Tilings,
  • Decidability Problems,
  • Random Graphs
  • Networking Games
    and related areas.

The only working language of the meeting is English.

Registration fee

for a participant is EUR 100. The registration fee covers conference attendance and materials, a book of abstracts, visa invitation and support, welcome party, coffee breaks and conference dinner.
