15.03.2018  Listeners of the Youth Academy of Public Administration met with Mayor of Veliky Novgorod Yury Bobryshev

On March 14, listeners of the Youth Academy of Public Administration met with mayor of Veliky Novgorod Yury Bobryshev in the conference hall of NovSU Polytechnic School. The mayor spoke about the socio-economic development of the regional center, its perspectives and problems.

“Opening these topics, it is very important not to build long-term plans on paper, but to plan real cases for the next few years and implement them in practice,” – Yury Bobryshev said at the beginning of the conversation. He told the listeners about the life of the city in 2017: what was done in the economy and social sphere; about the plans for 2018. In particular, last year 105 thousand square meters of housing were built. There was a construction of new roads and reconstruction of existing ones and so on. The birth of twins was rewarded by a one-time allowance in the amount of 200 thousand rubles, the birth of a triplets - 1 million rubles.

The modern school # 36 named after Derzhavin was opened for 1350 students. By the way, the similar modern school #37 on the Belorusskaya street would be opened this year; nurseries for children from 2 months to 2 years would be built by the state program, and money for the buildings had already been allocated.

 

The mayor not only talked, but also answered the questions of the listeners: how to learn to react to criticism and draw the right conclusions; how to resolve conflicts in team; do young people need to take places in government bodies, and what can they give to the city… For example, Bobryshev suggested them to criticize calmly, never to make hasty conclusions and comments about the opponent, and to analyze the situation. “Certainly, having considered the situation, you will see, that the truth is in his words, and, perhaps, it is very large. Often later, we understand that the comments were truthful and useful to us.”– Bobryshev added.

Concluding the meeting, the mayor encouraged everyone to participate in the presidential elections in the coming Sunday, March 18.
