16.12.2016  NovSU History students participated in the All-Russian Student Olympiad city competition of volunteer associations

On the first week of December, the History and Sociology Institute of Ogarev Mordovia State University became the venue of the final round of the "All-Russian Student Olympiad".

78 students from 21 universities of Russia majoring in "History" and "Foreign Area Studies" represented their regions. Students demonstrated their professional knowledge in writing essays and performing test tasks on the various thematic competitions. Olympiad assignments assumed in-depth knowledge in the field of Russian and foreign History.

Students of History Faculty Victoria Tsypochkina and Catherine Yalugina represented the Novgorod State University in the Olympiad. They presented Veliky Novgorod worthily and were awarded Certificates of Participation and Letters of Gratitude to the Novgorod State University. 

At the same date, students of the 4th course of the History Faculty Anastasia Artamonova, Julia Alefrienko, Anastasia Gavrilova and Ksenia Mitina presented the activities of the volunteer association of students of the History Faculty "Historian" at the city contest "The Best Volunteer Association - 2016".  The competition was organized by the Youth Affairs Division of the Committee of Culture and Youth Policy of the Administration of Veliky Novgorod in cooperation with the Center for work with children and youth "Scarlet Sails”. 

During 2016, students-volunteer have been conducting tours in the complex for heritage-listed building of the St. Anthony Monastery for students from other NovSU faculties. This activity was considered relevant - the volunteer association "Historian" received the Diploma of Participation.
