26.12.2013  New Year’s Costume Ball

 

On 25 December, the university New Year’s costume ball took place in the pillared hall of Anton Arensky Philharmonic Hall.

 

The costume ball ladies arrived in ball gowns and gentlemen in suits and tuxedos.

 

The ball started with the Rector Viktor Weber’s and Chairperson of the Novgorod Region Duma Elena Pisareva’s opening speeches.    

 This event was organized for the fourth time. The program included  two parts:

  • The ballroom dances:  polonaise and waltz; acquaintance with the fundamental rules of ball etiquette, “the fan language”, etc. Some performances of Novgorod professional groups are also expected.
     
  • The dance-and-play programme with competitions and quizzes.
