Рассматривается тенденция художественного развития русской литературы в ситуации пересмотра романтической эстетической концепции. Направленность творческих исканий в русской литературе второй трети XIX века представляется как движение от модуса выражения к модусу воплощения, за которым стоит критическое отношение к базовым положениям светской культуры. В результате, в формирующейся художественной модели отличительное и изменяющееся (выразительное), выступая в своем кризисном значении, обнаруживают себя как среду бессловесности, стремящуюся вернуться к словесному началу.

The issue of the artistic development of Russian literature in a situation of revising the romantic aesthetic concept is discussed in this article. The orientation of creative searches in Russian literature of the second third of the XIX century is represented as a movement from the mode of expression to the mode of embodiment, which stands behind the critical attitude to the basic concepts of secular culture. As a result, in the developing artistic model the distinctive and changing (expressive), appearing in their recessionary meaning, reveal as the sphere of wordlessness, that aims to return to the verbal beginning.
