International Collaboration of NovSU

NovSU's international collaboration has risen to the level of strategic partnership due to the necessity of joining the unified educational expanse in Europe and in the world. At present NovSU has long-term agreements with 62 educational institutions and international organizations from 22 countries around the world, including the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Finland, Norway, countries of CIS. NovSU is the member of BSRUN and EBBDe.V.

Nanotechnologies

International collaboration priorities are IT, economics, agriculture, education and medicine. International educational activities of NovSU are multi-faceted. The faculty, students and postgraduates participate in "Erasmus Mundus" program which enables them to disseminate their knowledge and experience, by studing and lecturing abroad.

 

One of the most important aspects of NovSU's international collaboration is the  "Dual Diploma" program for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Education. The "Dual Diploma" program is offered in collaboration with NovSU's long standing partner Hildesheim University in Germany. Together with University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA) NovSU is implementing a project on the improvement of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of public and global health.

Tempus-IV Progect "Network Interaction of Partner-Universities in Realization of the Three-Cycle Training in Educational Management" NovSU is a long-standing participant of TEMPUS projects. At present NovSU is involved in the TEMPUS-4 program in the field of educational management. Besides NovSU the consortium of partners includes two Russian and eight foreign universities. NovSU has become the member of the consortium implementing the wide scale international project "TUNING Russia" aimed at introducing European standards to the Russian system of higher education. NovSU faculty members in the School of Economics and Management  work as experts in the international project "Comenius-EBBD".

Each  of NovSU schools has an International Relations Centre headed by dedicated individuals actively supporting international collaboration within the framework of the subdivision's field of study and scientific interests. NovSU widely uses the latest achievements of IT to raise the level of professional and intercultural competence of its faculty and students.

NovSU provides degree and internship programs for international students. At present about 500 students from 30 countries of the world study at the  university. International students enjoy safe and friendly environment. What they find here is an excellent quality of teaching, a wide choice of programs that meet all the latest requirements of the labor market, and last but not least, a friendly atmosphere.


The language of teaching at the university is Russian. The NovSU Preparatory department offers intensive Russian language training for one academic year before  entering the university.

A hallmark of international activities of NovSU is the annual International Week including conferences, discussions, and cultural activities.
