10.11.2017  The NovSU School of Electronic and Information Systems team took part in the World Team Programming Championship

Recently, the quarter-final competitions of the World Programming Championship for students were held at the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO).

The strongest teams, including last year's winners of the World Championship – ITMO team – took part in this quarterfinal group. 

NovSU was represented by a team of students majoring in Computer Science and Engineering: Vladislav Stepanov. Timofey Lantsetov, and Arkady Ivanov. They were preparing for the competition under the guidance of Associate Professor Pavel Dovgalyuk. 

Competitions went on for 5 hours. Each task was to write a program which solved a specific task.

Novgorod students have been participating in this event more than 10 times. This year, NovSU team took the 51th place, which was in the top half of the tournament table. Our team defeated the majority of participating universities, including LETI, SPbSUTD and Pskov University.
