28.09.2013  Novgorod region IT industry specialists had a meeting with the representatives of the world’s leading IT companies

On September 27, the XVth research and practice conference “New Information Technologies for Innovation Development of Novgorod Region” took place in the   “Park Inn” hotel. More than 100 people participated in it.

The conference was initiated by Novgorod region government and Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University. The company “NOVINTECH” and the 1st Novgorod Innovation Institute organized and held it.

During the conference, directors and technical specialists of local companies had an opportunity to learn modern tendencies in the sphere of information technologies, so to say, straight from the source. The world’s leading manufacturers of computer industry told about their new products and the recent achievements in the IT-sector. Participants shared their experience and discussed the ways the information technologies can support the innovation development of Novgorod region.

The conference was opened by Nikolay Kurmyshev, Vice Rector for New Information Technologies of Novgorod State University and executive director of company “NOVITECH”. First presentation by Andrey Bratash, the Head of Novgorod region Informatization Committee dealt with to Electronic services and introduction of Novgorod region electronic government technologies.

It should be noted, that Novgorod IT-business dynamically increases volume and quality of products and services, the number of employees, investments, and outward trade. At the same time, it is innovative, ecologically clean, requires few natural resources, and has a high level of demand from society and other economic sectors.

In the judgment of the organizers, the very useful exchange of experience between Novgorod region IT-specialists and representatives of the world’s leading IT-manufacturers had taken place during the conference.
