04.05.2018  Track-and-field cross-country race’s results in the University Olympics

On the eve of the May Day, competitions on track-and-field cross-country race in the University Olympics took place on the "Volna" arena.

 There were 8 teams of girls (form School of Humanities, School of Economics and Management, Polytechnic School, School of Medical Education, Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, School of Electronic and Information System, School of Continuous Pedagogical Education) and 8 teams of young men, who took part in the competition (form Polytechnic School, School of Humanities, Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education, School of Electronic and Information System, School of Medical Education, School of Economics and Management, School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, School of Continuous Pedagogical Education) – in total approximately 160 participants. 

The races were held to the distance of 500 and 1000 meters for girls and young men respectively. The competitions were held in team and individual competitions. According to the results of the races, there are the following results:

Distance of 500 meters for girls (the team competition): the first place – Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education; the second place – School of Medical Education; the third place – School of Economics and Management.

Girls, the individual competition: the first place – Daria Karpinskaya (1.22.6) – School of Agriculture and Natural Resources; the second place – Daria Blinova (1.28.2) – School of Medical Education; the third place – Elizaveta Afirkina (1.28.3) – Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education.

Distance of 1000 meters for young men (the team competition): the first place – Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education; the second place – Polytechnic School; the third place – School of Humanities.

Young men, the individual competition: the first place – Nikolay Pushkarev (2.47.0) – Polytechnic School; the second place – Alexander Sova (2.53.5), the third place – Oleg Chinyakov (2.58.2) – both of them from Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education.
