19.04.2018  The modular bionic arm project will get a grant support from the Skolkovo Foundation

Last night, April 18, the results of the Startup Tour regional stage were summed up, - the regional government press center reports. In the track of biomedical technologies, the head of the innovative engineering department of the “Kvant” scientific development and production center, the graduate of NovSU, specializing in industrial heat-power engineering, Stanislav Muravyov took the first place with his project of modular bionic  prosthetic arm. In the same track, the third place was taken by another Novgorodian Daniil Losev, who presented the design of targeted transport of antibacterial and X-ray contrast preparations to the center of infection with the help of cellular leukocyte containers. Stanislav Muravyov became the super-finalist by decision of the judges. He will get a grant from the Skolkovo Foundation in the amount of 300 thousand rubles for his project. 

Also, Novgorod designers, who has successfully participated at the regional stage will take part in the semifinal of the conference for technology entrepreneurs Startup Village. 

“Among the participants of the Startup Tour, there are young teams with a great interest in what they do, with a desire to bring technological innovation to the industry and ideas about what the innovative potential of projects is. Most projects require mentoring and additional expert work in the field of the business model and market assessment, and the experts of the Skolkovo Foundation could help them”, - commented Ruslan Kamalov, vice president and executive director of the Skolkovo Foundation's Biological and Medical Technologies Cluster. 

The regional stage of the Open Innovations Startup Tour took place in Veliky Novgorod on April 17-18, The experts selected the 30 most promising projects of 84 applicants entering the competition program. The judges of the contest named the winners into three categories: biomedicine, industrial technologies and IT. In addition, as part of the Startup Tour program, more than 1,000 young scientists, students and young technology entrepreneurs from Novgorod and neighboring regions, as well as Moscow and St. Petersburg, were able to talk with business tutors and experts at mentoring sessions, as well as receive an assessment of their projects. Master-classes and lectures by representatives of  development foundations and successful innovators were held on a special track for members of school engineering clubs.
