11.04.2018  “Spring in Germany Culture and Art” Festival

On 10 April, the third festival of university and secondary school students “Spring in Germany Culture and Art” took place at NovSU Polytechnic College. This year, it was jointly organized by the NovSU associate professor Ekaterina Egorova and the teachers of German language from Eureka gymnasium Irina Abramova and Galina Malisheva.

More than twenty educational institutions (the local gymnasiums, city and region secondary schools, NovSU colleges and schools) participated in the concert program.

“This year, we decided to reconcile two festive occasions and hold them on the same day. Thus, the participants of the regional festival “Deutsch… auf der Buhne!” and NovSU festival “Spring in Germany Culture and Art” have gathered students who study German at the same hall. These events have similar goals: to encourage people to learn the language, culture and art of Germany, to support talented kids and youth, as well as to popularize German language in the city and region. Events like this are valuable and important,” - Ekaterina Egorova told participants of the festival.

The increased number of participants influenced the richness of the concert program. More than 30 performances in German were presented at the festival including songs, plays, dance numbers, poems by Karoline von Günderrode, Eduard Friedrich Mörike, James Krüss and others. And the main topic of the festival was, of course, Spring and Easter. All those, who performed received Certificates of Participation.

The concert hall was full. There were not only participants of the festival, but their parents, teachers and classmates as well. Everybody felt there that spring has come.
