25.01.2014  On the Tatiana’s Day, Elena Pisareva and Viktor Weber visited Student Dormitory

On the Tatiana’s Day, a chairman of Novgorod Region Duma Elena Pisareva and a deputy of Novgorod Region Duma, rector of the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University Viktor Weber visited the Dormitory #8. Representatives of NovSU Student Council conducted a tour and got acquainted them with students’ everyday life, at the same time showing them rooms, kitchens and a gym.

Afterwards, Elena Pisareva said: “I visit the University very often, while a dormitory for the first time. It’s well–equipped for a comfort lives of students. I find that it’s the merit of Viktor Weber. It corresponds to the high standards. I have visited a lot of places like that and I can proudly claim, without hesitation, that this dormitory is one of the best. We visited rooms, which had not been prepared for a purpose of our visit and the guys looked really shy. Anyway, the high standards we saw, couldn’t have been set at once, it’s a result of long-term work. In addition, we noted that we had a lot of students from all parts of Russia. All of them answered in the affirmative on my question whether they wanted to stay in Novgorod after graduation.

After there was a round table with the students. At the beginning Elena Pisareva on behalf of herself, deputies of Novgorod Duma and the governor of Novgorod Region Sergey Mitin, congratulated students on the holiday, and invited  participants to ask her questions. Actually, there were lots of questions and suggestions. For example, students proposed to give assignment allowance not only to graduating students of medical faculties, but to graduates of other programs as well. Among questions there were private ones. For instance, Elena Pisareva was asked how she had managed to correlate political life with private one.

Important to notice, that such kind of meeting was held for the first time. The last year the chairman of the regional Duma met the students in a reception room.
